- 2-6 members: 18 or older, patrol, emergency response, physical security, risk mitigation, medical response. Some training required.
KIDS MINISTRY - Contact the office, or Chris & Jen Belyeu (319-929-8392)
- 4 Sunday Core Assistants/Helpers: 14 or older; Serve approx. 13 Sundays per quarter (8:30-10:00am); Little to no midweek prep; Observe before committing for a 1-year timeframe.
- 2 Sunday Core Teachers: 16 or older; Serve approx. 13 Sundays per quarter (8:30-10:00am); Observe before committing for a 1-year timeframe.
- 4-6 Nursery Workers: 14 or older, Serve approx. once every 6 weeks from 10:10-11:30am.
YOUTH MINISTRY - Contact Pastor Aaron (319-450-3996)
- 2 Sunday Core Teachers: 21 or older, serve approx. 13 Sundays per quarter (8:30-10am). 1-2 hour weekly preparation for Sunday Core (8:45-10am)
- 4 Youth Group Assistants: Get to know teens each Wednesday night and lead small group discussions, etc. Willing to commit to 1 full school year at a time.
WORSHIP MINISTRY - Contact Pastor Aaron for application (319-450-3996)
- 2-5 Musicians: Various instrumentalists needed to allow rotation so musicians aren't required to serve every week. Musical skill and aptitude required. Availability to attend Thursday night rehearsals is required.
- 2-5 Vocalists: Vocal skill is necessary and availability to sing 2 times per month. Availability to attend Thursday night rehearsals is required.
- 2-3 Sound Technicians: Adult must have an ear for well balanced sound, have the aptitude to learn the sound board and it's corresponding components and be available to be at church at 8am on Sundays.
- 2-3 Slide Operators: Attention to detail is important and ability to focus throughout the service. Willing to come Thursday evenings to practice before being put on serving rotation.
FACILITIES - Contact the office (319-453-2065)
- 1-3 Facility Team Members: Mechanical or Physical Service minded individuals, limited commitment 1-2 days per quarter to do routine building maintenance and on-call basis for equipment breakdown to run basic troubleshooting, limited training on specific equipment owned by the church.
- 1-2 people aged 14 and above: Committed to be on-call to complete special projects (painting, computers, networking, etc.)
GROUNDS - Contact Jeff Almquist (319-491-2058)
- 5 Mowing Team Members: One day per month commitment during the growing season, several hours to mow church yard using church equipment, late in the week. Very Limited training.
- 1 Gardening Team Leader: Adult to work with Elders to create and execute a vision for the church planting areas. Limited commitment to a few days per month during the growing season, with extra time for special projects. Experience needed with gardening, garden planning and desire to disciple others in gardening and spiritual growth/relationship building.
- 3-5 Gardening Team Members: ages 14 & up for a commitment of 2 days per month during the growing season to weed and upkeep church planting areas, with possible extra time for special projects. Oversight by the Gardening Team Leader and limited training.
HOSPITALITY & COMMUNION- Contact the office (319-453-2065)
- 2-6 Coffee Servers: Arrive at 8:30 to prepare the coffee before Sunday Core and put out coffee creamer, tea, etc. Stay after church to serve coffee and juice and clean up. Typically serve once every 6 weeks.
- 2-4 First Impressions: Arrive at 9:45am and ready to welcome those arriving for the Worship Service at 10:15am. Friendly demeanor is required.
- 2-6 Communion Preparation: Arrive at 8:30 (if attending Sunday Core) or 9:30 (if not attending Sunday Core) to prepare 5 communion trays of juice and 5 baskets of crackers for the front and back of the sanctuary. Commit to serving one month per year.
COMMUNITY GROUP LEADERS - Contact the office (319-453-2065)
- Adult Couple: 2 hour/weekly commitment of leading a group after mentoring/training under another group leader/couple. Monthly 1 hr. leadership training commitment thereafter. Biblical Counseling training Track 1 strongly encouraged within a year of starting.
- Community Group Leader Trainee: 2 hour/weekly commitment observing Group Leader teach the group and monthly 1 hr. leadership training commitment. Biblical Counseling training Track 1 strongly encouraged to grow in knowledge and skill for leading a group.
CARE TEAM - Contact Larry Harder (319-551-2091)
- 5 Team Members: Team members won't all do everything listed, but can be assigned based on ability, training, and experience.
- Writing cards to those who've submitted prayer requests
- Assist with team decision-making for incoming requests for financial assistance
- Visit people at home or in hospital
- Purchase, prepare, and/or deliver meals to those in need
- Other tangible care needs as they arise
BIBLICAL COUNSELING TEAM - Contact Pastor Matt at the office (319-453-2065)
- 3 ladies and 3 men: Come alongside of someone struggling with life dominating struggles (either sinful, or suffering from another's sin); Learn how to support, encourage, and/or provide counsel. You will not be placed in an environment you're not equipped for, and you will be supported as you learn.
STORY TEAM - Contact Cherilyn (319-453-2065)
- 1-2 Videographers: Interest and/knowledge in videography and willingness to grow. Serving time will be project specific and would be 2-4 hours per project.
- 2-4 Writers: Passion for communicating Christ's truth through story is a must. Commitment to write 2-4 articles per year, or develop heart-penetrating questions for a documentary-style video.
- 1-2 Editors: 6-8 hour commitment per project to gather footage taken to create the final product. Willingness to collaborate with a team is vital.
